The Learner Profile is an important part of all levels of International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). This is what we want the students to be. The IB Attitudes are what we want the students to show or demonstrate.
Each week at Windsor, we highlight or focus on a different Learner Profile or Attitude.
Learner Profile Terms in Primary Children’s Language
Inquirers - We can be curious. We can ask questions and find answers. We can enjoy learning for the rest of our lives.
Knowledgeable - We can explore new ideas about the world around us. We can increase my knowledge and understanding.
Thinkers - We can make good decisions by thinking about problems creatively.
Communicators - We can understand and share with others about ideas in different ways and in different languages.
Principled - We can show respect for ourselves and for all other people. We can be fair, honest, and responsible for what we do and say.
Open-minded - We can learn from, respect, and understand the differences of other people and places around the world.
Caring - We can be caring and respect other people’s feelings. We can act to make a positive difference to their lives.
Risk-takers - We can be brave and try new and scary things. We can stand up for things we believe to be right and true.
Balanced - We can learn to be balanced in mind, body, and soul. We can feel good and help others feel good too.
Reflective - We can understand by thinking about and asking questions about the things we learn and do.
